1. HOW DO I OPEN MY SUITCASES?

So you have just purchased your suitcase and have arrived home, but it is impossible to open? Don't worry, it's not locked, all you have to do is push a small button near the lock. If you can see an arrow like in this photo, push the button in the direction of the arrow. You will then be able to open your suitcase with ease.

In the case of double locks, look at the direction of the arrows on the button. If you push it in one direction, it will open one side of the case. Pushing in the other direction will then open the second lock.

On cases within the BELFORT PLUS collection, open the lock by simply pressing the button and then tilting the lock clasp. Do this at all 3 opening points.

2. HOW DO I CHANGE THE CODE NUMBER ON MY LOCK?

Lock used on the following collections: MONTSOURIS, DESTINATION, ENVOL, AIR LONGITUDE EU, MONTMARTRE, CROSSTRIP 2, CHAUMONT, FLANEUR, FLANEUR PC, FLANEUR CUSTOMISATION, DISCRETE, BELLEVILLE, U-LITE CLASSIC, INITIALE, HELIUM CLASSIC, EPINETTE, INDISCRETE, LAZARE

Your adjustable TSA combination lock as delivered can be opened with the combination 0-0-0. To change the combination:

Open the lock by entering the factory code 0-0-0.
With a pencil or something pointed, press firmly on the Reset A button which can be on either side of the lock as shown below. Keep it pressed down.
Enter your secret code (for example 8-8-8) by turning the wheels.
Push button B so that button A goes back to its original position.

Your code is now registered. Write it down in a safe place so that you can go back to it if you forget it. If you want to change the combination, repeat steps 2-4.

Enter your secret code (for example 8-8-8) by turning the wheels.
Push button B so that button A goes back to its original position.

Your adjustable TSA combination lock as delivered can be opened with the combination 0-0-0. To change the combination:

Open the lock by entering the factory code 0-0-0.
Press firmly on the Reset A button and keep it pressed down.
Enter your secret code (for example 8-8-8) by turning the wheels.

Your adjustable TSA combination lock as delivered can be opened with the combination 0-0-0. To change the combination:

Open the lock by entering the factory code 0-0-0.
Push button A at the back of the lock from the “OFF” position to the “SET” position.
Enter your secret code (for example 8-8-8) by turning the wheels.
Push button A (on the back of the lock) back to the “OFF” position.

LOCK INSTRUCTIONS

Lock used on BELFORT et BELFORT + collections

Your adjustable TSA combination lock as delivered can be opened with the combination 0-0-0. To change the combination:

Open the lock by simply pressing button A.
Put the bag face down on the floor.
Swivel the catch of the lock upwards and pinch it between the bottom and top openings.
Swivel the red lever 90° into a vertical position, keep it there with your finger.
View your combination (your secret code to reopen your bag).
Put the red lever back to its original position, your personal combination is set.

Your code is now registered. Write it down in a safe place so that you can go back to it if you forget it. If you want to change the combination, repeat steps 2-6.

LOCK INSTRUCTIONS

Lock used on HONORE et HONORE + collections

Your adjustable TSA combination lock as delivered can be opened with the combination 0-0-0. To change the combination:

Rotate the catch on the case to open it.
Inside the case, behind the lock, move the cover to show the little lever. This level is initially placed in position A, move it into position B as shown in the illustration below.
Enter your secret code (for example 8-8-8) by turning the wheels.
Put the lever back into position A. Put the cover back correctly.

3. I’VE FORGOTTEN MY CODE NUMBER, WHAT DO I DO??

We suggest that you go to your nearest repair centre to get your bag open. You can find a list of our centres on this page. Otherwise, you can go back to where you bought the bag. In either case, don’t forget to show your receipt and your warranty.

5. WHAT IS A TSA COMBINATION LOCK WITH A KEYHOLE AS WELL AS A CODE NUMBER?

The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) combination lock allows you to lock your bag with a code while allowing the American customs authorities responsible for transport security to check it when it arrives on American soil without damaging it.

So the keyhole on the TSA combination lock is for the sole use of the American authorities. The advantage of this lock is the customs officers access and so avoid them damaging your bag.

To know if your bag has a TSA lock, look at the lock itself - the TSA lock has a little, red, lozenge shaped logo, like the one below.
